About Us
Okie Roller Inc. is
a family owned, Oklahoma based corporation
dedicated to producing high quality fire hose
rolling equipment for the fire service world
wide. The founder of Okie Roller Inc. graduated
from the School of Fire Protection at Oklahoma
State University and currently is employed by
the Edmond Fire Department as an apparatus
driver. At Okie Roller, we strive to produce a
product affordable for volunteer fire
departments as well as the major metropolitan
areas. We believe rural and metro fire
departments should share the luxury and ease the Okie Roller demonstrates when rolling different
diameters of fire hose.
The Okie
Roller idea was thought about during the clean up process
after a structure fire in early 2007. During clean up
operations, training, and hose testing firefighters end up
bent over rolling up hose. The majority of the time the fire
hose has to be dragged out to the roadway and placed in a
straight line where it can then be rolled up. By the time
the hose is drained, dragged to the street, rolled up by
hand, and then placed on the apparatus a considerable amount
of energy, time and manpower has been consumed. This is
where the idea of the Okie Roller began.
Through friends, family and
word of mouth, the Okie Roller is rapidly establishing the
right to becoming the best hose rolling devices the fire
